Abstract:

Large-scale MIMO has emerged as a promising technology to deal with the ever-increasing traffic demands in wireless networks. Through the use of an excessively large number of service antennas in a fully coherent and adaptive operation, transmission and reception of signal energy can be focused into small regions to offer large improvements in throughput and energy efficiency, especially when combined with multi-user scheduling and in mmWave bands. Furthermore, large-scale MIMO can enhance the robustness to interference and intentional jamming.

Since its recent introduction in 2010, large-scale MIMO has revealed new problems that attract considerable interest from both academia and industry.

The talk will provide an overview of large-scale MIMO developments applicable to next-generation wireless access communications, and highlight various technical issues and solutions, specifically in massive MIMO precoding designs, along with our current research activities and recent results.

Researchers interested in organizing special sessions are invited to submit formal proposals to ICIST2017. A special session proposal should include the session title, a brief description of the scope and motivation, names, contact information and brief biographical information on the organizers.

Authors are invited to submit full-length papers (8 pages maximum) by the submission deadline through the online submission system. Special session organizers are also invited to enlist six or more papers with cohesive topics to form special sessions. The submission of a paper implies that the paper is original and has not been submitted under review or is not copyright-protected elsewhere and will be presented by an author if accepted.

All submitted papers will be refereed by experts in the field based on the criteria of originality, significance, quality, and clarity. The authors of accepted papers will have an opportunity to revise their papers and take consideration of the referees’ comments and suggestions. The Proceedings has been contracted to be included in IEEExplore and submitted for EI indexing.
